Complete data isolation
Each account is separated at the database level using Row Level Security. No installer can ever access another's data — not even accidentally.
Your pricing stays private
Your product catalog, margins and commercial data are never visible to other users, other installers, or Aethiq staff in normal operations.
Export anytime
Download all your data at any time in standard formats — CSV for data, PDF for documents. No lock-in, ever.
Delete anytime
Cancel your account and request full data deletion. We delete your data within 30 days, retaining only the minimum billing records required by law.
We never sell your data
Your data is never sold, shared or provided to third parties for any commercial purpose. We are not in the solar business — no conflict of interest.
Not used for AI training
Your quotes, pricing and client data are never used to train AI models. Anthropic, our AI provider, contractually commits to this under their Data Processing Agreement.
How data isolation works
Aethiq uses Row Level Security (RLS) in our database. Every single row of data — every quote, every client, every product — is tagged with your unique tenant ID. Our database enforces at the lowest level that you can only ever read or write your own data.
This means even if there were a bug in our application code, the database itself would still prevent any cross-tenant data access. It is not a software policy — it is a mathematical constraint enforced by the database engine.
Why we process your data
We process your data to deliver the Aethiq service you signed up for — generating quotes, managing your product catalog, and producing proposals. Under GDPR, the legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b): processing is necessary to perform the contract between you and Aethiq.
If you contact us for support or communicate with us by email, we process that data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. We do not send marketing emails without your separate, explicit consent.
Who processes your data
Aethiq uses a small number of trusted infrastructure providers — called sub-processors — to deliver the service. Each is bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
All US-based providers process EU personal data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in accordance with GDPR Chapter V. Data transferred to these providers is limited to what is strictly necessary to deliver the service.
Compliance by region
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel and request deletion, we delete your quotes, product catalog, client data and uploaded documents within 30 days.
We retain minimal billing records (invoice amounts, dates, subscription history) for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law — typically 6 years — but this is our own accounting obligation, not a copy of your business data. You can request a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting privacy@mail.aethiq.app.
